Grew a newly opened second restaurant location's Google Business Profile interactions 28.9% year-over-year, outpacing the original location's own growth rate, by localising the listing instead of inheriting the flagship's identity.
The challenge
Opened under the same brand name as an existing flagship location, this profile risked being read by Google and searchers as a duplicate of the original rather than its own local search asset — the most common failure mode for a second location that shares its name with the first. As a newer, smaller-base listing, it also had the most to gain from consistent management and the most to lose from being left on the flagship's settings by default.
The approach
The listing was localised deliberately rather than mirrored from the flagship: photos, description and posts built around what's actually specific to this location and market — not a copy of the original. Posting and photo cadence were matched to the flagship's standard rather than treated as a lighter, "still new" version of it, and review response and Business Profile messaging ownership were brought to parity from day one, since a newer listing benefits disproportionately from visible trust signals while it's still building its own track record.
The result
Over the June–July 2026 window, Business Profile interactions grew 28.9% year-over-year to 7,546 — outpacing the flagship location's own growth rate over the same period, off a smaller base and a shorter operating history.
