Restaurant & Hospitality
Grew a restaurant's Google Business Profile interactions 25.2% year-over-year by fixing shared-brand-name listing overlap with a second location and standardising review, photo, and menu cadence.
The challenge
This restaurant's Google Business Profile shared its exact brand name with a second location opened later under the same identity. Without deliberate differentiation, Google and searchers couldn't reliably tell the two listings apart — which flattens visibility for both instead of letting each earn its own local search presence. The profile also had no standing content cadence: photos, posts and menu updates were reactive rather than scheduled, capping how often Google had a reason to resurface it.
The approach
The flagship's profile was rebuilt as its own local search asset rather than managed as a shared brand-wide task: description, photos and posts rewritten around what's specific to this address — neighbourhood, exclusive dishes, seating, view — so it stops competing with its sibling listing for the same searches. A standing menu-update slot replaced ad hoc changes, since menu freshness is a documented ranking input for restaurant profiles. Review responses and Business Profile messaging were given named, per-shift ownership, and photo uploads moved to a weekly cadence rather than a seasonal one.
The result
Over the June–July 2026 window, Business Profile interactions grew 25.2% year-over-year to 12,160 — accelerating rather than plateauing, with the shared-brand-name risk directly addressed by differentiating the listing from its sibling location.
